Om Puri gives a new name to Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat, the empress of oomph, seems to have left a rather good impression on the talented actor Om Puri.

Thanks to the reputation that precedes Mallika, Om Puri was rather apprehensive of working with the actress, what with all the stories about her throwing tantrums on the sets of her films doing the rounds. But when Mr. Puri met and shot a song with Mallika recently, he was shocked to discover a girl much unlike the one she’s painted to be.

Puri says he found Mallika very “down to earth” and “innocent”.
