India-Pakistan Clashes in Cricket World Cups

No other sporting event gets bigger in the subcontinent than the Cricket World Cup and no other match more nerve-wracking than a clash between the arch rivals India and Pakistan.

Every contest between the two sides is an emotional roller-coaster ride punctuated by volatile temperaments, dramatic twists, sledging and ego-rustling, as the two teams battle it out on the cricket field against the deafening roar of the fans. Emotions will surely run higher this time since the contest happens to be the semi-final of the World Cup 2011.

India and Pakistan are set for the duel in Mohali and going by the stats both the teams stand an equal chance to oust the other. India has never lost a match to Pakistan in the four world cup encounters between the two teams so far since 1992, and Pakistan has never lost to India at Mohali.

The semi-final clash on Wednesday will be more a battle of nerves and the team that caves in under pressure will bite the dust.
