Shahrukh Khan opened me up to Bollywood: Akon

Senegalese-American singer Akon is in India and he says working in a Bollywood film is his ultimate goal.

“I'm waiting to get into Bollywood movies. That's ultimately my goal. I want to do it successfully. I'm not quite sure what character, but I definitely want to do it,” the singer told the reporters on Friday, which incidentally is also his birthday.

Akon is set to perform in concerts at Gurgaon and Bangalore. But he’s already made his foray into Bollywood by singing a song for Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming superhero film Ra.One.

“Working with Shahrukh was an amazing experience. He opened me up to Bollywood. He made me see a whole new light and the possibilities. I enjoyed it so much that I'm trying to sneak in now,” Akon said while revealing his Bollywood plans.
