Amitabh and Jaya Act together after 10 Years

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan will come together in front of camera after 10 years. The duo was last scene as a couple in Karan Johar’s film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.

However, the duo is now returning not for a film but an ad for Tanishq Jewellery. Amitabh started to shoot on Monday, and wife Jaya will join him on Tuesday. Amitabh gives this little information on Twitter and writes, “on sets for Tanishq, the jewellery business of Tata's. Jaya joins tomorrow. With Jaya in front of cameras after Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham…been a while.”

Though Amitabh has continued to act in films, Jaya stays away from camera. Her last film as a lead actress was Silsila in 1981 where she worked with hubby. Then it took almost 18 years for Jaya to return to acting. She was then seen in Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, an arthouse film directed by Govind Nihalani. In 2000, she also acted in Fiza as Hrithik Roshan’s mother before Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham which released in 2001.

Together Amitabh and Jaya have given many memorable movies like Abhimaan, Mili and Chupke Chupke. This would be the first time that the duo will be seen in an ad.
