Abhishek Bachchan calls himself Over-rated

His detractors have more often than not credited his success in Hindi films to his surname. While Abhishek Bachchan has made a place for himself in the industry, he’s not unaware of the fact that he has a long way to go.

While promoting his upcoming film Game in Bangalore, Abhishek was in a jolly mood and unhesitatingly admitted that he’s an over-rated actor.

“I think I am terribly overrated as an actor. They have given me more due than I deserve. I have a very very long way to go. I have lot of improvement to do,” Abhishek said with a tone of sincerity.

In Game, Abhishek plays the character of a casino owner who finds himself sucked into a wicked game of deceit, murder and suspense orchestrated by a cunning billionaire (Anupam Kher). The film also introduces newcomer Sarah Jane Dias.

When asked if he feels that the newcomers who have entered the industry after him have overtaken him, Abhishek said: “I am not the insecure type. I am very secure about who I am and what I do. So I am happy we got new blood coming to the film fraternity and getting more talent I think they are wonderful.”

Abhishek did show his sense of humour when questioned about his favourite actor in Hindi films. “Me myself,” he said and, as an afterthought, added, “apart from me I think my father has some potential.”
